Dublin, Ireland (April 4, 2011) Roberto Romanello has added a World Poker Tour (WPT) title to his already-impressive list of trophies with victory at the 2011 WPT Bratislava. The FullTiltPoker.net pro defeated Mayu Roca after a two-hour heads-up battle, winning a first prize of just over $140,000.

A total of 211 players entered the $2,500 No Limit Hold ‘em Main Event, which ran from March 30th to April 3rd in the Golden Vegas Casino in Bratislava, Slovenia. Romanello arrived at the final table with a commanding chip-lead, holding 1.8 million of the almost 6.4 million chips in play. He was extremely active throughout the final day, knocking out three of the other eight players. Romanello finally capturing the title when the chips went in pre-flop and his 5-5 held up against Roca’s A-K, the board running out J-6-8-3-Q.
